In order to guide and assess ESG strategy deployment, EUROAPI has solicited several independent third parties. Regular dialog with external stakeholders is key for evaluating EUROAPI sustainable performance and helping with further developments.

Ratings

EUROAPI has been awarded a Silver medal by EcoVadis

EUROAPI’s ESG performance has been recognized in the EcoVadis rating and awarded a Silver medal. Overall, EUROAPI is in the top 16% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations industry. 

More specifically, as far as environment is concerned, EUROAPI is in the top 3% of companies rated by EcoVadis in this industry. We are very proud of this true recognition of our commitments as environmental excellence is one of EUROAPI’s top priorities alongside with product quality and resilience of our supply chain. 

EcoVadis is a world leader in business sustainability ratings, intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. EcoVadis’ sustainability scorecards provide detailed insight into environmental, social and ethical practices across 200 industry categories and 175 countries.

External commitments

EUROAPI signed the Global Responsible Care® Charter

One of EUROAPI’s first commitments in 2022 was to become a signatory of the Responsible Care® charter that includes its six voluntarily imposed regulations. 

This illustrates EUROAPI’s support for the safe management of chemicals throughout their lifecycles. Commitments include continuously improving environmental, health, safety and security knowledge and the performance of EUROAPI’s technologies, processes and products to avoid harm to people.

Contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

EUROAPI is proud to have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative - a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.

EUROAPI joins forces with thousands of companies globally committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to contribute to the UN targets embodied by the Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”).

Certifications and Audits

EUROAPI is reinforcing its responsible purchasing approach 

EUROAPI launched the process for joining the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI). This non-profit business membership organization brings together pharmaceutical companies and API producers to promote responsible supply chain practices and share supplier audits. 
In 2022, in order to address client requests, three of EUROAPI's sites were audited according to PSCI principles.
